A member asked:

I recently had a barium swallow and the pa and tech said they saw calcification in my throat. should i be worried that this could be serious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Wait for Radiologist: Wait for the full report of the radiologist and meanwhile ignore the observations of pa and tech. They are not trained to interpret the xrays including barium swallw when report is available follow up with your doctor and only he/she can tell you if there is anything abnormal.
