Compression fracture: A compression fracture of the thoracic (t5) is a sign of osteoporosis. Bracing can help to heal the bone but a surgical procedure known as a kyphoplasty may be required. A bone density test can determine the amount of osteoporosis and supplements stronger than calcium to strengthen the bones. See your primary care physician for further guidance..

Old fracture: It means your MRI shows an old, mild fracture. Does not sound serious. See a spine specialist for a more detailed evaluation.
