Possibly: The epididymus can be felt manually by a clinical exam in many patients but not necessarily all, and sometimes one can be felt and not the other because of the positioning. Ultrasound should resolve this if necessary.

Possible: Palpating the epididymis may be more pronounced on one side compared to the other. Palpating the epididymis in general may be difficult. If you have had inflammation/infection of one, it may get more pronounced and then more easily palpable at future visits, etc. If any concern for masses, etc, and ultrasound of the testes/scrotum would assess the anatomy in question.
