PE: I assume you have been worked up for hematologic causes of pe, which are the most common cause at your age. Oral contraceptive should be avoided.

PE: Idiopathic PE at young age should be evaluated for hypercoagulable state which usually will include congenital or aquired cloting factor deficiency, anti-phopholipid syndrome, or gene mutations. Cancer is a known hypercoagulable condition. However, cancer does not occur commonly in young people.
