Call Orthodontist: Hopefully you are seeing an orthodontic specialist. If so, he/she should have given you written instructions to control pain. Call orthodontist for additional instructions. In the meantime take 1 200mg ibuprofen/advil/motrin 4x/day w food or lots of liquids, and rinse 3x/day w 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water.
