Yes: Fatty liver can come in many different forms. In its most benign form, the liver enzymes can be normal and it may only be discovered as an incidental finding on ultrasound. When it gets more severe, then it is called NASH - nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. In this case, the liver enzymes are usually abnormal by then.
