A member asked:

Whenever i smoke a cigarette my left arm and ring finger hurts really bad. and i get a little pain in my chest. does anyone know what this means?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thromboangiitis: There is a condition called thromboangiitis obliterates, which is usually associated with smokers. It causes inflammation and clots and lack of blood flow to certain organs especially the hands and legs and can lead to gangrene. I am not saying that's what you have but be careful. Cigarette can cause vasospasm on its own and decrease blood flow even in the blood vessels of the heart and brain.
