And rightly so: This needs to be treated. Agoraphobia is manageable nowadays if you're brave and willing to work. You won't be able to maintain this boyfriend or any other quality relationship unless you're willing to work to get out into the world and have a life. Your physician can refer you and your life will be far better in more ways than just this.

Seek psychotherapy: I would encourage you to find a good psychologist to help you overcome your agoraphobia so that you can start living a fuller life. Cognitive behavioral techniques (progressive desensitizations) can be very helpful although at times there is also a need for some insight oriented therapy as well if the agoraphobia is related to any early traumatic experiences. Couples therapy may help as well.
