Gosh, hope so.: we are trying to do just that with the National Health INfrastructure Initiative. Never heard of it ? well... guess it isn't well set up yet. It's really helpful to have some records on medications to know what someone is taking and cannot take. So far, only the drug companies have that info.

They could...: it depends on how well your doctors keep your medical records. With today's electronic records, everything that is prescribed via computer is kept in your medical record. If you move to another state and the medical records are transferred to your new doctor, the prescription record would also be transferred unless you chose to not give permission for the med records to be released.
