Yes: Regular dental check ups will keep your teeth and mouth healthy. Small problems will be found and treated. Regular dental will help to prevent many potential problems. Twice a year is good for many of us, however some people benefit from more frequent dental visits.

Only: Only if you want to stay healthy. Routine exams and cleanings allow discovery of small problems before they become large (think expensive) problems. Talk to your Dentist about the damage gum disease (infection) can do to other organ systems. A small cavity is easy/inexpensive to repair. An abscessed tooth means multi-visit, intense treatment. Dentistry isn't expensive, neglect is.
