A member asked:

Please tell me, could antibodies be passed down through genes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Maternal antibodies are passed on to the fetus through the placenta. There are certainly genetic propensities and parts of antibodies that are passed on but the business end of specific antibodies are formed in response to a stimulus or exposure by the individual according to the model. I can't think of any exception to this.
