Autoimmunity: Sometimes, the immune system makes antibodies that attack your own tissues. This occurs in disorders such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and others. Anti-dna antibodies are just one form of antibody that are seen in autoimmune disorders. A high level of anti-dna antibodies should be evaluated by an immunologist or rheumatologist.
