Pace yourself: Glad to hear that your seizures are controlled with lamictal, a quite effective drug. However, you do need to know that sleep deprivation and/or shift work changes in your sleep pattern could possibly increase risk of break-through seizures. Please discuss with your doctor, if work schedule not changeable, as during waking state can use nuvigil, and when wears off, you can sleep better.

Changing shift: You should make sure you get sufficient sleep when making a work shift change since sleep deprivation can contribute to seizure occurrance despite taking your medication. If you are going to work continuously 3rd shift and yoiu make the adjustment, there should not be any worry.
