Time frame?: Depends on how long ago you had the surgery. Recovery can take longer than we like sometimes.

Unsure: It may still be sore from the removal, as i don't know when it was done. You may have developed a bruise or infection on the ingrown toenail site. Call the podiatrist for a follow up appointment, and get this looked at. It should be a fairly straightforward problem.

Take care of it.: On occasion a small piece of nail may be left behind that can be source of you pain and discomfort. Have it evaluated and get the appropriate treatment.
