Maybe still healing: How soon the postoperative pain may last is not predictable for everyone. Generally speaking, as long as the pain is getting better slowly and surely, just be patient and give time. Occasionally, the pain may not disappear completely as wished. That's reality of life. Talk with your surgeon. Best.

Have it looked at.: You may still have a piece of nail in the corner or a recurrence of the problem. You may want to have a permanent procedure to remove the recurrent ingrown toenail. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
