First,: Why would you want to "reduce" the masseter muscles? Second, are you sure whatever it is you want to reduce is the masseter? Third, Botox won't necessarily cause muscle atrophy, see a facial plastic surgeon for advice.

Thin thick masseters: I have seen many patients (often Asian) with very strong and thick masseter muscles. Botox or Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxin a) can temporarily thin the muscles for up to six months. This nicely changes the shape of the face in the area of the "angle of the mandible" and sometimes also helps night time grinding or "bruxism." A plastic surgeon can determine the prominence of your masseter by asking you to clench ur teeth
