If this is performed: By an experienced laryngologist the outcomes are generally very good. This is not a permanent cure and may need to be repeated periodically.

Usually improved: Botox works to paralyze the overly active muscle, hopefully restoring the voice to more normal parameters. It will never be totally normal and of course, the Botox will wear off after some weeks which means one will need another injection. But it can work near miracles in properly selected patients!
