A member asked:

Dx diverticulitis, 2nd episode in a month. intermittent bright red bleeding with small clots, ct can't find source, + hemmroids, but not enflamed?

Not unusual: Ct is not a good way to find the source, but it can rule out some other causes. Colonoscopy is a better test for investigation of blood in stool. Your hemorrhoids or diverticulitis may be the source of bleeding. Also could be many other things - colonoscopy is the way to go.

You should see GI: At your age a diagnosis of diveticulitis is not common. I have not heard of many cancers at your age either except in those with risks like polyposis syndrome. It is therefore best if you see the specialist in that field to make sure you have a good and valid diagnosis.
