A member asked:

My doctor prescribed me reglan (metoclopramide) 5mg to take 30 minutes before meals and at bedtime. how many hours apart from supper to bedtime do i need to wait?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reconsider this Rx: Metaclopramide (reglan) is a pro-motility agent to improve esophageal and stomach emptying. However, please read the side effect profile of this medication--it may make you reconsider using it casually, especially if to be taken over a long period of time, and at 4 times daily. What is your indication for the drug?
