A member asked:

Do any of the doctors have any info on giving reglan (metoclopramide) and benedryl by iv for headaches i was given this and became very anxious and rls kicked in bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reaction to Reglan (metoclopramide): Reglan (metoclopramide) is an antinausea medication particularly good for the nausea of migraines, but a small proportion of people can have a reaction of involuntary movements and/or restlessness/anxiety as a side effect. (this property is shared by a number of anti-nausea meds, and some anti-psychotic medications.) the Benadryl may have been given to combat this side effect. List the Reglan (metoclopramide) as a sensitivity.
