Myofascial pain: Is a regional muscle disorder that is one of the most common causes of persistent pain in the head, face and neck regions. Although the zone of reference can be distant from the involved muscle and may not be in the same dermatome, the pattern of pain referral is reproducible and consistent and can serve as a guide to locate trigger point. Rec.: moist heat rest and nsaid.
