Not really: Your throat can have hills and valleys from prior infections which cause the tonsils to swell and change shape. If you have chronic drainage, pain, cough or bad breath, you probably should have a good exam for the throat and nose passageways. The physician can "shed light" on what you are seeing, and care for you. If your fever is over 100.5 f, get going. You are taking a too much ibuprofen.
