Yes, you are right!: Lymph glands can swell up due to infection or from inflammation. If you smash them.Injure them, they will react by getting larger. So do not touch them if you want them to settle down.

Where are they?: I don't know where the lymph nodes you're referring to, are located on your body -- but picking at them won't make them go away. Since you're very worried about them, i suggest letting your own physician examine them and advising you about them. Be well.
