A member asked:

In ruling in or out cerebral aneurysm is mra study enogh or mri with and without contrast is also needed with mra for better accuracy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Best tests: Cta and mra studies should readily demonstrate any significant aneurysm. If such a lesion is congenital and small, it may be missed, but ruptures tend to occur when larger than 0.9 mm, and the others would just be followed. If you possess uncontrolled high blood pressure, an acquired aneurysm, called charcot-bouchard, could result in hemorrhage, so watch your bp.
