Foreign body: Inhalation of one half of a peanut may or may not result in further pulmonary problems. Usually this will be coughed out or broken down in the bronchi and not cause disease, but can be the source of blockage with post-obstructive atelectasis and pneumonia. If you develop any further symptoms you should be seen by your doctor asap, or if your asthma recurs, or any difficulty breathing. Good luck.
