Upset PCP: Not sure why pcp is upset. You may try to explain the reasons behind your actions if you want to keep him as your pcp. Otherwise, if he is so opinionated, you may consider switching to another one.

I think your PCP: Should not get upset, if he truly wanted you to get the best care. Second opinion is always helpful, if you are not getting any better under the first doctor's care.
