Renal mass: If the mass is solid the chances are that is malignant. There a few instances that a renal mass can be benign for example an adenoma or angiomyolipoma. A renal u/s sometimes can help in determining if mass is cystic or solid..

Possibly.: If the mass is solid this is one of the possibilities. The ct scan should indicate if it is solid, cystic, or a combination of the two. The size should also be given as well as an opinion regarding what this mass represents. Please discuss this with your doctor.
