Get checked soon.: U should be checked by your dr asap. Iv drug use can increase the risk for contracting hepatitis c, HIV and other illnesses. U should get blood tests done. If they are negative, get checked again in 6 months. Although the risks from contracting these illnesses are low from one stick, it is best to be safe than sorry. Also, ask yourself why u are engaged to an IV drug user. Suggest that he get tx.
