Not sure where the : Vein is, there are veins all over the hand bit numbness on the back or top of the hand can be from direct irritation to the radial or ulnar sensory nervrs or in part with copression anywhere from the wrist and forearm to the elbow up to the neck. The back of the hand is not involved with carpal tunnel.
