TMJ: Very possibly tmj. You most likely injured the joint capsule while vomiting. See your dentist for treatment. A short term splint therapy (3-6 mos) should do the trick and then keep the splint and wear it once or twice a week in the event you ever need it again.

Popping and TMJ: Popping with the tmj/tmj's usually signifies a displaced articular disk (forward.) not sure if you also have locking of the jaw- closed lock meaning limited opening; open lock- can't close.) need to see your dentist or TMJ specialist as your problem may become worse.

Yes: Yes, sounds like mild TMJ/TMD. If problems persist. see a TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
