H. pylori: This is best treated with a combination of an h2 blocker and two antibiotics, and single agents alone are seldom effective. Would actually be somewhat surprised if the boil responded to amoxicillin, but perhaps the bacteria in australia are more sensitive to antibiotics than those elsewhere in the world.
