I would recommend: Water for two reasons. One, it is a great way to free up congestion and two, you know its safe. Guaifenisin is suppose to be safe, but i would try to avoid early in pregnancy, especially if you have never had it before. Try massaging just behind the angle of your jaw to see if helps relieve some of the congestion as well. I hope that helps!
