Category B meds: Your ob-gyn can order something for you. All medications that are pregnancy -category b will have no problems.

Depends on trimester: During 1st trimester always bet to avoid meds. Later on tylenol (acetaminophen) is okay and technically speaking an opioid antitussive should be okay. Discuss with OB before taking any new meds. Avoid all nsaids.

Pregnancy safety: Normally tylenol (acetaminophen) is the only safe medication that can be taken for headache during pregnancy. Benadryl is also on to take for sinus symptoms but may only help minimally for cough. I would recommend honey and lemon tea to sooth cough and throat. For cough&chest congestion Vicks in chest and feet does wonders!
