Swollen face: If your teeth were in a lot of pain and your face was very swollen 3 days of antibiotic may not be able to effect a significant change. Did they take x-rays to determine if the situation was tooth related. Until definitive tx is rendered the antibiotic and pain meds may serve only a a bandaid. You should see a dentist to rule out tooth source or treat the tooth source.

See a dentist.: Did you see a dentist in the er? Did the er doc recommend that you follow up with your dentist? See a dentist to diagnose and treat the problem. The antibiotic may take some time to take effect, but it will not cure your teeth. It will take a dentist to do this.
