Yes: Hypertension meds , if they cause swelling ankles diabetes meds- sulfonylureas, glinides and insulin.

Possible: Some diabetes medicines can cause side effect of weight gain. If the list of medicines stated in your profile is up to date, then i don't think any one of them can cause weight gain. Metformin is weight neutral.
