Complex Cysts..: in a 52 year-old should be followed closely and surgical removal should be considered if it changes or becomes more painful. Typically these cysts and menopausal hormone changes are not related. With the average age of menopause being 52, it is likely that a patient at this age will skip periods regardless of the presence of the cyst. So please keep all of your follow-up appointments and scans.
