Time for next visit: Depending on the health of your mouth most people need professional dental cleanings every 3-6 months. If it has been 6 months since you last visit, you are due.

Halitosis/gums: You have every right to be concerned. Both problems may be caused by infected gums. It's 6 months, you're due back at your Dentist's for professional care. Ask to review Oral Hygiene techniques, especially flossing.
