I wrote on here about elavil (amitriptyline) the docs said its toxic at higher doses and whatch for weight gain why is it toxic and i have gained a lot weight why ?

Many medications: Have recommended doses. Taking more than that dose could be an overdose. Taking less than that dose could be ineffective. Some people gain weight with Effexor (venlafaxine) and some people lose weight. Some have no significant change in their weight. Research suggests that weight gain appears to be dose related.
