See answer : If not a yeast-related irritation, then antifungal cream will not be of any benefit. If truly a skin irritation from using scented pads (contact dermatitis), then treatment more likely to be successful with using an over-the-counter steroid cream: e.g. 1% Hydrocortisone cream applied twice daily and, of course, good hygiene and eliminating scented pads (the allergen).
