EoE: Eosinophilic esophagitis is a newly defined disease. For a majority of adult, it is due to gastroesophaeal reflux disease. That is why omerprazole is first tried in your case. In children and some adult, it can be related to food allergy especially if omerprazole by itself does not help your symptoms. If this is the case, you need to be seen by an allergist. We are specialized in this condition.
