Dx chronic pericarditis. sleep in recliner sitting up. pain is worse lying down but best standing up. what exactly causes the positional pain?

Chronic pericarditis: We believe the pain is caused by the rubbing of the inflamed pericardium with the surface of the heart. We treat the condition with anti inflammatory agents and sometimes with pain medications if the anti inflammation drugs don't do the job. Discuss your ongoing symptoms with your doctor.
