Anxiety's impact: On performance depends on the level of anxiety. At low to moderate levels it can enhance performance at extremely high levels it can lead to reduced performance or freezing up and inability to perform. For sports having the right amount of anxiety is important to help athletes do their best. Zero anxiety can also be connected to poor performance and an apathetic attitude toward the task at hand.
