I was going down the steps and turned my foot.it felt like something pulled.it's on the top of my foot to the ankle.i can't put any pressure on it.

If there is: Bruising on the lateral ankle with swelling and you absolutely can't tolerate any pressure you may need x-ray, but typically just the anterior tibio-fibular ligament is sprained and only requires ice, elevation and early mobilization with bracing. Best to have your doctor or a good urgent care doctor take a look.
