Depends: The amount of time needed to see muscle definition in overweight people is higher since excess fat drives down testosterone, the hormone that helps with muscle mass. Also many people lose muscle mass with weight loss since they are not dieting well; recommend continue working out, eat protein, low carbs and drink lots of water.
