See answer: Two important things. 1) repeat urinalysis and urine culture to verify that the infection/bacteria is gone. Ideally, a culture was done prior to beginning antibiotic treatment. Cultures identify the specific bacteria and report what antibiotics the bacteria are sensitive to and validate correct diagnosis; 2) obtain a renal ultrasound or preferably a ct scan to rule out abscess, stone, blockage.
