I had grommets put in my ear 6 years ago. the left one didn't fall out and now a big polyp has grown on my eardrum. the polyp didn't respond to antibiotics. so what happens now and why hasn't the antibiotics amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin worked for me?

I am surprised they thought antibiotics might help. Removal would be the expected approach to treatment.
