Should i avoid red meat during pregnancy?

No: Red meat is a good source of protein and iron. That said, make sure it is cooked and best to stick to lean meat to reduce the cholesterol content. Varied diet including fish and plant protein is the healthiest.

Choose organic only: I believe factory-farmed meat is one of the least healthy foods we can eat ; advise people to avoid it at all times, esp. When pregnant, but organic grass-fed meat in animals not given hormones or antibiotics is actually quite healthy and you can have as much as you wish. See http://bit.Ly/19xax7e for more about why this is wise.
