Strongly discouraged: Alcohol has been shown to cause birth defects and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. No research has been able to conclusively say how much or when "some/small amounts" of alcohol would be safe. As safety can't be ensured, it is best to avoid alcohol when you are pregnant.
