Ask manufacturer: I've personally 'rodded' many tibia fractures through the years and removed many as well. Not exactly sure how much a 10 by 320mm titanium nail weighs but surely less than 16 ounces;#40;u can pick it up easily w/ your index finger to balance it;#41;.As far as cost this is trickier;#40; actual cost in manufacturing not sure... The cost to patient/hospital between 5 and 6 thousand $$ w/ interlocking screws!
