Enlarged lymph nodes: You have a lot of symptoms that are probably unrelated to your thyroid or the enlarged lymph nodes. Thyroid ultrasound is a more sensitive way of looking at the thyroid and surrounding tissues compared to a ct scan, so one can see nodules and lymph nodes on ultrasound that do not appear on ct. The size of the lymph node is not as important as the location, appearance and amount of blood flow.
